I was born in Lima, Peru in 1977 and ever since I can remember, I have always been attracted to the arts. I have always been captivated by archictecture, music, and of course, photography. However, it was only when I bought my first 35mm camera in 2004 that I clearly understood what I wanted to do. That same year I moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina and enrolled in the Andy Goldstein School of Creative Photography where I finally began my formal training. I graduated in 2007 and I have worked in important studios in Buenos Aires since then. In 2009 I was granted Australian residence so I moved to Sydney looking to grow faster professionally.
In 2010 I opened "Mauricio De la Rocha G - Fine Art Gallery", located in 95 Sydney Rd, Manly, with the intention to showcase my photography, along with providing a creative space to share with other photographers and other artists, promoting different types of creativity from myself, and other artists. The newest addition to the gallery is a Canon IPF 6100 large format printer. Using my own Large Format Printer I can offer a truly personal service by printing all of your desired photographs in-house on a range of handpicked Fine Art Papers, Canvas, and Fine Art surfaces.
So this is me enjoying the ride and trying to live my dream. I am very proud of the images that I have captured. Each one of them has its own special story which I remember perfectly. I hope that through my pictures others can see my vision of the world but most of all enjoy them.
