Window light Photography Workshop - with Rossy

If you'd like to take better portraits than most of the professional photographers can take with expensive equipment, assistants and big budgets... this might be the most important workshop that you could attend. You might discover that all you need to take amazing portraits has always been right there in your own home! 

I want to recreate for you the experience I have when I do my work. You will also meet Rossy, your model for the day.  

Once you are here I’ll walk you through the place and show you the space. I’ll show you how I look for interesting spots to use as backgrounds and how to find interesting types of light. 

Before anyone starts shooting I’ll go through some basic concepts and the three main setups I use with windows. 99% of the work you can see on my Instagram or my website is achieved by using only a window and the light that is available at that moment. Sometimes I have bright strong early morning type of light, sometimes I have cloudy or even rainy days outside. I’ll teach you how to get the most out of any of those situations. After everyone has a chance to practice and understand those three setups you’ll find that their combination can create different looks and vibes.

As a surprise, everyone will have access to my bag of tricks. Don’t think too hard about that, my bag of tricks consists on stuff that you can find more often than not in any home. You will learn how to create depth, how to deal with small rooms, how to control the contrast of the scene and much more.

My goal is for you to learn how to create moody portraits using any type of window without caring much about its size, the place you are shooting at or the weather conditions outside. Conveying emotions by using not only light but also shadows is what you will learn.
