Window light Photography Workshop - with Rossy

Welcome to another Window Light Photography Workshop! I'm glad you are here!

I will share with you all the experience that I have accumulated over many years doing portrait photography using only window light. With the principles and fundamentals I will show you, you will feel very comfortable photographing within any space. You won't care if the location is big or small, bright or dark, if the windows have curtains or blinds, etc. Even the weather is going to be irrelevant to you.

I want to recreate for you the same experience I have when I do my work. You will also meet Rossy, your model for the day.

Once you are here, I’ll walk you through the place and help you to find the gifts the location is offering. I’ll show you how I look for interesting spots to use as backgrounds and how to find different types of light.

Before anyone starts shooting, I will go through some basic concepts and the three light setups I use. Almost 100% of my work is done by following these setups. You’ll find that their combination can create different looks and vibes.

As a surprise, everyone will have access to my bag of tricks. Don’t think too hard about that. My bag of tricks consists of stuff that you can buy for less than twenty dollars. You will learn how to create depth, how to deal with small rooms, how to control the contrast of the scene, how to approach a sunny or cloudy day, and much more.

My goal is for you to learn how to create moody portraits using any window without caring much about its size, the place you are shooting at, or the weather conditions outside. Our main goal will be conveying emotions by using not only light but also shadows.

For the people interested in keep exploring this type of photography, I can also talk about the psychology I use behind each session. I can share with you how I gain the trust of the person I am photographing.

There is a beautiful world of possibilities when the person on the other side of the lens trusts you. Trust might give them that extra boost of confidence they need to dare to do things they would never have thought of before.
